On June 30, 2023, President Halimah Yacob made her final Raya prayer appearance as President of Singapore at Almukminin Mosque. It was a historic occasion for the mosque and its congregation, as no sitting president had ever attended Raya prayers there before.
President Halimah was greeted with warmth by the congregation, and she responded with a warm smile. She then joined the congregation in prayer, and she was seen praying with sincerity and devotion. After the prayers, President Halimah made time to meet and greet the congregation. She spoke to many of them personally and listened carefully to their concerns. She also thanked the mosque for its hospitality and its role in the community.
President Halimah Yacob has served Singapore with distinction and left a lasting legacy. We are grateful for her service and wish her many happy years ahead.
