What They Do
Sedekah.sg is dedicated to providing physical amenities in needy areas and uplifting the education level of Muslims. Their core target is to improve the education level of Muslim youth by prioritizing Quran teaching, as well as conducting educational curriculums to improve knowledge and Islamic attitudes.
The charity service of their madrasah building programs particularly takes care of establishing a team of well-educated teachers and instructors who are mostly trained in both advanced Islamic knowledge topics and non-religious sciences, mostly possessing a bachelor’s degree. Sedekah.sg strives to ensure the physical establishment of madrasahs is complete with a well-organized management team.
In addition to their charity services, Sedekah.sg’s local Singapore activities include Quran teaching through i-readquran.org, conducting Qurban/Aqiqah services through singaporequrban.com, and yearly scheduled performance programs like student cultural travels to overseas, conducting Umrah trips during and outside of Ramadan period, and conducting Doa Selamat/Tahlil Services (Kenduri Arwah) within Singapore.
Sedekah.sg also conducts charity-based humanitarian services in Asia/SEA region, concerning and promoting helping needy Muslims in the local society to improve their welfare, provide Islamic education, giving opportunities for advanced studies overseas, constructing society served premises like Islamic education madrasahs, masjids for Muslim prayers, water wells in remote areas for common public use, and water fountains for the community. They act as a bridge between the helping hands from local Singapore public and the team of volunteers who conduct the services in respective areas.
